Welcome to Ratcliffe Psychology -
Your Brain Will Thank You!
Ever wonder why people do the weird things they do? Or why your brain decides to overthink at 2 AM? You're in the right place. At Ratcliffe Psychology, we break down psychology in a way that's fun, relatable and actually useful. Whether you're here to hack your habits, decode human behaviour, or just confirm that you're probably normal - we've got you.
We keep things simple, connected, and science-backed because therapy is too cool to be boring.
Hi! My name is Brittany (she/her) and I am a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (#6556). I specialize in working with individuals across the life-span, starting as young as 4 years old.
Whether I’m engaging with a lively child, navigating the complexities of adolescence, or supporting adults through their unique challenges, I believe that every interaction is an opportunity for growth and understanding. My approach is rooted in empathy and creativity, often includes a dash of comedic relief, and relies on client-therapist collaboration. You can expect to do some emotional work in the room, reflecting on both the mind and body responses, and to leave sessions with strategies to try or reflections to consider. I believe no one size fits all, and I emphasize a "take what fits and leave what doesn't" attitude.
Individuals ages 4 and up.
Group therapy for school-aged children and up.

Relevant Experience
I've worked for over a decade supporting children and youth in a variety of settings, including ambulatory care, school-based, community services, and private practice. This work also consistently involved working with various systems involved in children's lives, with an emphasis on family and school systems. My education began in teaching, and I've previously worked in schools supporting student mental health for years, so navigating the school system and supporting parent and student advocacy in schools is a special interest of mine.
I also worked for over 5 years supporting adults struggling with substance misuse and addiction in a community based setting, and have been continuing to support adults with a variety of presenting concerns in private practice settings for 9 years.
